  ○ Japanese Teacher Invitaion Program
    ◎ The organization invites Japanese teachers from China to visit Japan
(A prerequisite requires that applicants have not previously visited Japan)
    ◎ This program seeks to improve Japanese language education in China by providing Japanese teachers from China with exposure to various regions of Japan.
  ○ Exchange Program Alumni Association and Alumni Aftercare
    ◎ Kazan Alumni Association in China:
(An alumni organization for Chinese researchers that have participated in the program in Japan and have returned home to China )
The headquarters is at the Center for Japanese Studies,Beijing University and current membership is around 320 alumni.

    ★ The school has a proud legacy that specializes in Chinese and Japanese.(Chinese Language School was founded in 1967 and the Japanese Language School 1982).
★ A high-level and well-grounded institute in Akasaka at the center of Tokyo and managed by an incorporated foundation.
★ The institute utilizes a low student-to-teacher ratio to provide highly attentive instruction.
★ Institute alumni are active in the fields of trade, finance, technology cooperation, culture and arts within the arena of China-Japan cooperation.
  ○Chinese Language School 
    ◎ The schools education philosophy is “promoting our student’s development of Chinese language skills for use in the real world of business, academics, etc.”
◎ The schools alumni, many of which are working in government positions, the private sector, and stationed in China, have received high evaluations.
  ○Japanese Language School 
    ◎ The institute began accepting direct applicants from China (with a Student Visa) from the year 2000.
◎ The school develops students to be instrumental in international exchange at both the national and the local community levels.

□ Application Process:
Submission of applications for enrollment are due in mid-August each year for April enrollment and mid-March for October enrollment.
Candidates advised of preliminary acceptance are required to pass a written examination and interview in China in September and April, respectively.

Former students have been accepted at the following universities:Tokyo University、The Tokyo Institute of Technology、The Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Saitama University、Ochanomizu University、Hokkaido University, Yokohama City University, Waseda University, Aoyama Gakuin University, Chuo University、Nihon University, Rikkyo University, etc. (A total of 75 universities as of March 2005).

1898 The Toa Doubun Kai is established and Prince Atsumaro Konoe appointed as Chairman〔His pseudonym is Kazan〕)
1901 The Toa Doubun Shoin is founded in Shanghai (Hajime Nezu becomes the first Director)
1928 Construction of the Toa Doubun Kai Headquarters (Kazankaikan Building) is completed.
1939 An Imperial edict is announced granting Doubunshoin college status
1946 The Toa Dobun Kai (foundation) is dissolved andToa Doubun Shoin Colledge closed.
1948 The Kazan Club Foundation is established. (Iemasa Tokugawa appointed as Chairman)
1958 Name is changed to “The Kazankai Foundation ”
1959 A quarterly publication called “Kazankaiho” is launched (Sixth Volumes published until 1967)
1962 Toa Training Institute is established.(※Koyukai)
1964 Construction of the Kazan Building is completed and Kazankai operation begins.
1966 “Who’s who in Contemporary China” is commissioned by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and published.(until 1995).
1967 Toa Gakuin opens (specializing in the Chinese Language) and subsequently operations of the Toa Training Institute are transferred.
The publication “Kazankaiho” is revived and its name changed to “Kazan Monthly”. (until 1978)

1982 The Japanese Language School is established for remigrants

1983 Chairman Michitaka Konoe first visited China and holds a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister
1986 A student exchange program agreement with the China Education Association for International Exchange is formalized and signed.
1990 The Kazan Alumni Association for Chinese students is established.
1995 Who’s who in Modern China is republished.
1998 The 50th Anniversary CommemorativeSymposium is held in Shanghai (etc.)
A dual agreement on academic research exchange is concluded with Shanghai Jiao Tong University etc.
2000 ToaGakuin Japanese Language School opens and the Koshigaya Dormitory is established.
2002 A dual agreement on academic research exchange with the Chinese Association for International Understanding is concluded and signed.
2003 Participated in the Kasumigaseki 3-Chome South Area Redevelopment Project planning.
2004 A Cooperative research project begins focusing on historical facts surrounding the Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Doubun Shoin
The current facility in Akasaka is acquired. Administration offices are moved to this facility and the building named the “Akasaka Kazan Building”.
2005 The Kasumigaseki 3-Chome South Area Redevelopment Project is formalized and the groundbreaking ceremony (Kanmin Building) held.
2005 Toa Gakuin Japanese School is formally licensed and the Horikiri Dormitory is established.
